Fuel Cell Reachstacker Takes Center Stage in Valencia’s Twin Project.

The Cluster was on-site, visiting a twin project in Valencia, which already utilises hydrogen in port operations.

Here, we’ve got to experience the Hyster-Yale fuel cell powered reachstacker in its operational environment at the container terminal. This test field is being managed as part of the European H2Ports project, a collaborative effort uniting port community, industry, and science partners.

Especially in the current market phase of fuel cell powered heavy-duty equipment, where prototypes are being used in real operation for the first time, gaining practical experience with this energy source is key.

We look forward to welcoming the Hyster Yale terminal tractor and empty container handler, among others, at our Container Terminal Tollerort in Hamburg in 2024.
